Kim Pender
Kim has been working in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field for over 36 years. She has her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Adult Education. She has been working with children and families, facilitating workshops and teaching ECE courses in both British Columbia and Alberta. Kim is a lifelong learner and enjoys observing and interacting with children. She believes play is the foundation of learning and encourages children to explore and take risks. Kim welcomes all families to share their customs, celebrations, and languages as we all learn from each other.

Romy Ralph
Romy completed her Early Childhood Education (ECE) at Capilano College in 1993. She holds her Early Childhood Education License, Infant Toddler License, High/Scope certificate, current First Aid, and her Special Need courses; she has been working in the field for over 30 years! Romy is inspired by planning the class curriculum around the children’s interests and strongly believes that they learn through play and daily interactions with their peers and teachers. She enjoys finding new ways for children to explore art materials in their own creative ways.

Catherine Wu
Catherine carries both practical and pedagogical knowledge of early childhood education through her roles as a certified ECE educator, as well as a mother of an 8-year old. In class, Catherine, influenced by her experience working as a special effect artist in the film industry, enjoys facilitating activities that encourage her students to explore their learning through creativity and imagination. Prior to joining Dundarave Preschool by the Sea, Catherine has taught in other preschools and daycares with Reggio Emilia and Play-Based backgrounds
